Our practice in Asia Pacific
The Corporate Finance practice operates from hubs in Hong Kong , Shanghai , Beijing, Southeast Asia, India, Japan and Australia. CF consultants in these locations are cross-staffed, allowing us to provide unrivalled client service and substantial opportunities for our consultants to learn and develop. In addition, teams working across offices and geographies carry out the majority of our knowledge development and research activities.
Corporate Finance consultants generally operate in teams with individuals from other areas within McKinsey, both industry sectors and functional practices. Such team structures allow us to bring to bear on each piece of work the range of skills and experience necessary to meet our clients’ needs. Our consultants adhere to the same rigorous working principles, problem solving standards and ethics as all other McKinsey consultants around the globe, and have identical professional development opportunities. Our clients benefit from the professional independence of our financial advice – the very qualities that distinguish McKinsey consulting worldwide.
This international approach is reflected in all the work of the practice. Transfers to other locations both within the Americas and globally are common. In addition, a substantial portion of our client work will have cross-border implications e.g., M&A as a component of international growth strategies, leveraging strategic alliances to enter new markets.
