  Value based management
 
We help clients establish value-based performance enhancement programs throughout the organization. We leverage industry insights into key value drivers and theoretical finance competence to establish the optimum set of performance metrics to which we also attach incentive schemes.


What we do
 
Value based management is organically intertwined with capital markets diagnostics and general corporate strategy work. Typical areas of our work in the value based management arena entail:

Applying state-of-the-art analytical tools and methodologies to assess business value and performance.
 
We have developed new metrics and adapted/applied analytical techniques to recognize the specific value drivers of individual sectors (for example, to account for leasehold versus freehold properties in retail). Such metrics serve both as diagnostic tools and as tools for continous performance management.

Identifying the strategic levers to maximize value
 
We build on extensive industry expertise and deep understanding of a sector’s value drivers to help develop and test the value implications of a strategic plan. We work with clients to identify, evaluate and prioritize specific strategy scenarios to maximize the value of the current franchise.

Defining the role and structure of the Corporate Center
 
In our work with multi-business corporations, we help examine and evaluate alternative roles and structures for the Corporate Center to ensure it fully captures the value of corporate scale and scope, as well as enhancing the value of the individual business units.


Recent client work
 
For a major European financial institution, we built a system to measure the value creation of its various business areas, leading to a definition of value-maximizing performance objectives and a reassessment of the portfolio.
