In our CF Practice, we look for all the skills that any aspiring McKinsey consultant would need – i.e., the ability to deliver high-quality advice to people at board level in a thoroughly professional manner – together with specific expertise in accountancy, applied finance and capital markets. This means you will need the following: An exceptional intellect and superior problem-solving skills Well-developed numerical skills, including the ability to undertake sophisticated financial analyses Outstanding communication skills Leadership potential A sound understanding of the principles of corporate finance, valuation techniques, financial statement analysis and capital market behavior Fluency in English and, if appropriate, the language(s) of the local region.
